Sunday is outing day. Monpazier has gorgeous architecture, and hosts a large brocante. It was perfect. Jennie had been looking for gold lined white plates, and we found 25 at one of her favorite antique dealers. I found a few pieces that would have been great for a future home ;) I took photos of them for posterity-sake, the bird statue and chocolate box. I hope you enjoy the the orange disturbed chairs that are obscenely tattered! Too good not to photograph.
After Monpazier, we drove to Bordeaux. Jennie and Ron really wanted me to see it before going to my next location, and were incredibly generous with their time to drive the 2 hours there. (Originally, I was going to go there either by bus/car from Bergerac). Since it was a few days from my original transition day, and I needed to get a new battery for my Iphone, they dropped me off - and I hope had a successful Ikea haul before going home! Also, since Jennie and I went to Bergerac a few days earlier, I wanted to limit the amount of driving on my behalf to get to my train/bus drop off.
It was sad to leave them. It was incredible to spend time with them, and learn about their craft. Make sure to check out the blog entry for my recap!
