From July 29 - August 12, I stayed in this beautiful 15th & 19th century castle.
The chateau was filled with people and activities. I helped run the B&B aspect of the place. Which was a fantastic experience. I have learned that I would. . . never run something with 17 rooms. Yikes. I met some incredible people, and had a lot of fun. The co-owners had a lot of friends and come and go in that time, as well as a music workshop of the worlds best new classic singers and pianists. Between other people on the exchange, the co-owners, Stephanie and Nick, Steph's mom and fiance, the two guardians, and random guests, we had 15-20 person meals. We had two themed dinner parties, both 80's and tribal, as well as a few Karaoke nights, and an evening stargazing in a field.
Since there was only a french tub available in my sleeping area for bathing, my favorite part was shower hopping through the house in the various rooms that weren't being used. One day, some of us went to a French Wine Festival, and experience the worst singing ever. And another day, wine tasting. I didn't participate, but enjoyed seeing different wineries and seeing a large bottling plant.
